Resources for Ph.D programs?

Hi ladies!
I've been an adjunct for 3 years (since my DD was born) and am interested in looking into getting my Ph.D. in English or Comparative Lit. I'm having trouble finding a good website or book that explains the programs in my area (suburb of NYC, but willing to move anywhere in the NE). Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Are you looking for a site (or whatever) that does comparisons? Because, if not, I would think the best thing to do would be to look at the schools in the area individually, and find out what kind of dissertations the students have completed (English departments usually list recent and current candidates). That could help you determine if there are people producing the kind of scholarship that interests you at any given university. I suppose you've already done this, but just wanted to suggested it in case you hadn't.

If you do end up finding a place with a comparative analysis, please post it!
