Thank goodness my hubby was able to go with me! My son did surprisingly well...he cried, of course, but not thrashing around, tantrum like I had expected. They only needed 4 vials (they were nice enough to find out the absolute minimum they needed beforehand, since he's so small). They also had the neatest little stick-on catch bag for the urine...I'd never seen anything like it before! I had wondered how they wanted me to get urine in a 2.5yo who cares nothing about using the potty.
Anyway, they've got 12 tests to run, and we are waiting to hear back about orders for his bone age x-ray. Then our ped endo appt is June 4 at 8am (that's gonna be fuuuun...DS usually isn't even awake by then!) But at least DH can take that morning off to go with us so I don't have to go alone, especially if I hear bad news.
Because DS doesn't seem to have any other issues other than just being very tiny, we doubt there is anything SUPER serious going on, and are truely expecting just a constitutional growth delay diagnosis, but I'm definately concerned that he could have hormone issues. We have plans to go to Australia for a year in January, and I'm sure a diagnosis like that would pretty much kill our chances of going because we'd never be able to get insurance , and I doubt they'd even let us in the country with a kid needing that kind of maintenence care. *sigh*
So now we just wait and see.
