What to feed a kid with MAJOR allergies? - Page 2

I know you didn't ask, but my son and I had multiple food sensitivies/allergies as well and I posted before about our experience, but have you tried traditional chinese medicine? They do all sorts of things with digestive issuesm with some herbal preparations.

We are 100% allergy/food sensitivity free now and I just could not read your post and not mention it.

s it is a challenge

I do make most of my own foods now: bread products/muffins/pizza dough ... my question is, what do you do for certain foods that are snack foods like crackers/pretzels, etc?

Snack food were very tricky at our most restricted time. I made crackers, never did get to successful pretzels. Fruit, carrots and hummus, muffins, coconut milk yogurt - not as portable as goldfish, but eventually we did work out some replacements.

I gave him methyl-b12 yesterday morning (it wasn't sublingual because I didn't think he would take it, it was chewable, though). Today he is calmer than I have seen him in a long time. Would that have that type of affect?

Yes. B12 works fast (and chewable, he'll have gotten quite a bit absorbed in the mouth - my DS just chews them too).

And this may be a BIG clue for you. Melatonin is produced in the body from serotonin, and the conversion requires methyl B12. Did he sleep well last night?

Yes, he did sleep well. I just gave him an epsom salt bath and within 30 minutes of getting out he was quite aggressive and mean. I'm not sure if he is just really tired or the epsom salt had a negative affect?

Epsom salts can have a negative effect for some, so try oral magnesium, it shouldn't cause that issue. And sleeping well is probably why he was calmer today - it makes a HUGE difference for my son (for calm and sensory issues).
