caitlin had her appointment today at the children's clinic and has been diagnosed with benign rolandic epilepsy, the dr. has put her on epilepsy meds which i have to go pick up the prescription for on thursday. she will be starting off on a low dose (130mg) for the 1st 2 weeks and then provided she does ok on it they will increase her dose to 200mg.
wish i could remember the name of the meds omg how could i forget.

(((HUGS))) to you, to Caitlin, and the rest of your family. My daughter also has epilepsy (Landau Kleffner Syndrome). It can be a roller coaster. If you ever just need to vent or ask question, feel free to PM me and I'll help the best I can.

My son has rolandic seizures too. Thankfully, it's something that they think that he'll grow out of by the time he's 14. The first time I saw him seize was so scary, but the meds have been great. He hasn't had another seizure since the one we witnessed. I hope the seizure meds will be as affective for Caitlin!
