Hello everyone. I'm Sarah, a recovering poas addict. I just bought 5 $tree tests and they are sitting in a bag with a $1 bag of 8 reeses peanut butter cups. I will be 9 dpo tomorrow. Someone please talk me out of or into taking one of those tests (or eating the whole bag of reeses.) Ready? Goooooooo.

okay, fellow addicts... I remember someone posted a similar thing when Obsess&test was alive and it made me feel less silly...

I wanna know something- what pee-absorbing sticks do you have in your house right now? and how many?

AFM, I have 29 OPKs.
7 FR OPKs
2 IC OPKs
and a new, shiny 20 pack of CBE digi OPKs (on MAJOR sale @ Walgreens, FWI)

I have no pg tests.
1. bc I haven't O'd yet and I don't want to jinx myself into not O'ing
2. bc I would pee on them... bc you never know, right?

And we do not get paid until friday!!!!!!!! What am I going to do

Also I just want to rant about being on CD29 and no O yet. I know some women go 60 days without O, I did on my first prego I am just scared that will happen again.

never heard of reeses, you could use one test after all it's only $1

Okay, okay. I ate 2 of the reeses and took one of the tests. The test was so white it would put snow to shame. :P I'm trying not to give up hope because I am only 9dpo and I KNOW it is too early to test but I did anyway.

Here is what I have in my cabinet. 8 Answer OPKs, 4 $tree hpts, and 1 ClearBlue Easy digital hpt.

I have a question for all of you. How long after you test does the itch to test again come back? For me, I tested this morning (about 4 hours ago) and I am still okay. I think I'll be able to make it all day without getting the urge again, but tomorrow morning is a whoooole other story.

ok make that 12 IC HPT's all this talk of POAS made me feel a little left out and my way of rationalising is that 13 is an unlucky number so i had to use a test.

Hear ya, sister.

Here's my dumb poas moment for the day. I broke out the cbe digi opks that I bought yesterday. I didn't read the instructions, cuz, well, I figure I'd peed on enough sticks to know. Well, I did it wrong and got an error instead of an answer. Nice waste of a stick. Lesson learned.

they are a bit fiddly you have to put the stick in the reader remove the lid pee on it then hold it upside down till it flashes then put the lid back on and lay flat till you get either o or but if you get slightly too much or too little pee on it, or don't hold it right or accidentally press the eject button etc it brings up error

Yup. Total addict over here. Last night I gave all my tests (10 Ics, 2 FRERs, and some silly blue dye one) to DH and told him to hide them from me until next Friday! We'll see how well he does when I'm bugging him like an insane person on Tuesday. LOL!! 1/2DPO today so a long way to go. :P

Great thread but it's going to make it even harder for me to resist!!

don't worry we'll be here for support when your finding it hard to resist the urge i've not o'd yet this cycle and i've already poas 3 times so i deffo know how hard it is

I was going to wait till saturday to start using my OPK's but decided to start instead because my cycles are that messed up i don't know when i'm going o it was negative it had the lightest faintest line i have ever seen on an OPK.

Mine are usually stark white or have a VERY light line the day before they go ridiculously positive so you never know! Keep POAS (as if you need encouragement!!)! LOL!

I have an 8 month old and not really TTC, but not exactly trying not to. My cycle hasn't come back yet. . .but this still doesn't stop my POAS addction. Ha ha.

Last time, I had decided that I wouldn't hunt for a line, so actually probably missed a faint line on a test before I got a really + one. Then after that + I took about 20 tests over the next month. I was so scared that I would suddenly wake up not pg one day and besides watching that + line appear each morning was amazing! I never got tired of it. But my DH thought I was crazy and so did the employees at the local $tree store as I kept going back and buying out their stock of tests. (They only kept 5 on the shelf at a time it seemed.)

Right now I am having to stop myself from buying the $tree tests online. .. b/c online you have to buy them in bulk. . .so you can get 70 tests for $70! Probably shouldn't be telling you ladies this I can't do it. . .too crazy.

But I have taken two blue ink (walgreens cheapos) in the last month. I keep being suspicious of pg, but not really sure what signs to look for since I am nursing this time. The one I took a few weeks ago was a definite - the one I took today, I thought I saw a faint faint line. But probably not. Need a trip to dollar tree!

Anyway, nice to have the POAS company!

If it's confession time...Went to Walgreens this AM and bought 2 boxes of FRERs (the ones that come in packs of 3) and a pack of Answer, AND I already have 2 FRER digis at home.

Just a quick q for all the lovely poasa why do blue dye tests give more false positives than pink dye tests? this really confuses me does the blue ink stick to the pee more than the pink or something or is it a flaw? i'm just wondering as my 2 i got when i was pregnant with my ds caden where on blue dye tests.
