I just got a copy of "oobleck, slime & dancing spaghetti" from my library. It was in the new book section, though it was published last August. It is a collection of 20 science experiments "inspired by favorite children's books".
Personally, I like the tie in to the children's books. But, I also like her clear, easy to understand explanation of the science in each of the experiments. She also includes information about how to "take it further". A lot of the experiments are in the kitchen, which pleases my kids quite a bit. The book is written to be used with children in elementary grades.
Thought I would share! I will most likely purchase this for a fun, inexpensive addition to our science collection.
Oh, here is a link to it on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Oobleck-Slime-...4287389&sr=8-1
