At what age did you night wean your LO? - Page 2

DD1 stopped waking at night all on her own, at about 4 months. But I was pumping for her, so the feeding patterns were different.

My other two (twins) I night weaned at right around a year. Actually, it was earlier, around 10 months, for DD2, and I think 12 or 13 months for DS. I actually only did it because I felt I had no choice-- I was very sick with a serious medical condition, and me being available to nurse all night was becoming genuinely impossible. I did one twin at a time, to make it easier on all of us, which is the reason for the age difference. I think it was okay for DD2-- she adjusted easily-- but DS had a very hard time, and I would not have considered night weaning at that age if I'd felt I had any other choice.

14 months but he does still nurse at night sometimes. But at 14 months we did the Jay Gordon method until we were getting a solid 5 hours, I never pushed it any further. Most nights now he nurses once in the early morning so I can live with that indefinitely.

I think it was 20 or 21 months. And then a month later we stopped nursing to sleep. It was pretty easy; I think because I was pregnant and my supply was really low.

She fully weaned at 29 months.
