shoes - no longer fit in Robeez (sz 9?)- now what?

I loved the Robeez - both soft sole & the flexible rubber bottom - but they only go to size 8.

What do you recommend next?? It must be durable my DS, 21mo, is really tough on his shoes running all day long......

I was just thinking of checking out stride rite, but I have no idea how their product is. I really never investigated past the robeez & now the need for a bigger shoe came upon me way to quickly.

We have the stride rite's for ds. He's been wearing them for about a month now. The soles are really flexible on them but durable enough for rough surfaces & the shoes themselves are very lightweight. I chose all leather uppers 'cause they look nicer to me & I feel leather is more breathable than some other choices. Ds is ROUGH! The shoes have some scuffs so far but still look really good - I'm confident they'll last through the summer for us. He's even worn them into the river & they weren't even stiff when they dried (& the dried super fast). I'd definitely recommend them - worth the money.

Our problem is that DD was in soft shoes so much that "normal" shoes feel "ouch" on her feet and she only likes to wear sneakers or Crocs. She still fits in Robeez at size 6, but when we go out she needs something puddle-resistant.

the leather sole shoes go till 4 years. I just picked up a few pairs of 2-3 years for DD and they are great. She will not wear any of hte other brands (I tried at least 10 brands in the last 6 months).

Good luck.

Im a big stride rite fan myself and its the only things the boys wear. I have foudn them to be extremely durable and my kids outgrow them before tey outwear them. I like that they come in varying widths to get a good fit.

another company I'd recommend would be pedipeds. My friend uses them with her littel ones and they seem really nice. They are pretty flexible for little feet and are very soft and pliable.

you should check out soft star

they make exactly what you are asking for

See Kai Run was what I put my son in when he outgrew Robeez. Worked beautifully for him!

I love having DD in the softest, most flexible sole possible. But she is getting really tough on her feet and we live in the city, so we do a lot of walking on sidewalks and pavement and it's not always clean or barefoot safe. We've had/have Robeez, Umi, Soft Star, Livvie and Luca, Ecco sandals, and Pediped shoes, but right now I'm in love with Preschoolians. They're very flexible for wide feet--they send you different sole inserts with each pair so you can fit the shoe yourself. The shoes are flexible (can be easily folded in one hand), but also very strong/durable for outside walking. I just ordered another pair last week, actually, since her feet are growing again.

I second Soft star! Awesome shoes. Always get compliments and very comfy for foot. They'll make you a pair of soft sole shoes--they make them that big!We get the ones with very thin vibram soles--they are still really flexible and mold to foot but a little studier for city walking.

DD's everyday shoes are Stride Rites. Her physical therapist recommended them specifically, and we've had great experiences with them. She's never outworn a pair before she outgrew them (and she has small, slow-growing feet... she's 4 and only a size 7.5).

I found a seller on Etsy who makes soft soled shoes in a size four years and said that she could take a custom order for a larger size when ds outgrows that.

I like to support small businesses and WAHMs, but I bookmarked the soft star site just in case.

I like the L'amour brand. We've purchased several pairs since dd outgrew the robeez tredz and my dd loves them.

Are the soft star shoes durable?? They look great, but can they stand up to pavement & playground? They look like beautiful shoes.

I just goto a shoe store and look for something I like, then check to see how flexible it is. DS1's had a very wide variety of shoes, although my current favorite brand is definetly Jumping Beans (Khols' store-brand) - there cheap, fairly flexible, cute, and apparently comfy!!

Our soft stars look brand new and I've just put them away for our next baby since DD outgrew them. She wore them all over the place including up and down our gravel road.
