what can I dip that's gluten-free?

Can't think of a good way to word it...I want the dipper/chip/pita/etc to be gluten-free but I can't think of much except rice cakes and veggies and I don't think my kids will eat either (not in large enough quantities for lunch anyway which I what I want to use dips for).

I'd just search out gluten free crackers/pita/bread/whatever and find one that you all like and use that I love dipping veggies myself though - baby carrots, celery sticks & broccoli being my main, prefferred choices!!

I make almond thins for crackers - but they're a bit too fragile for true dipping.

Mostly I dip veggies - celery and belgian endive both serve as really good "scoops" rather than just dippers. Belgian endive has very little flavor of it's own, so if they can get past the thought of dipping with a veggie, it might work.

I know they're veggies, but carrot sticks from fresh farmer's market carrots are the best, they're so sweet. I can't get carrots so sweet at any market, only the farmer's market.

: I was also going to say corn tortilla chips, many now even say gluten free on the label.

Subbing! We are GF too.

What about corn tortillas? You could toast them too.

I know that MDC recipes has a crunchy brown rice cracker recipe, and it is pretty good, still working on making it better.

I have a recipe I am going to try for Chi Seed chips. You make a chia gel and spread it out and dehydrate. Not sure how well they hold together. Power energy packed chips!

DD is gluten-free and she loves the crackers from Glutino--they have plain, cheddar, multigrain and veggie flavors. That's what she uses for eating dips like hummos, baba ghanoush, cream cheese, whatever. I sometimes grab a few and I have to admit that they are pretty good. We buy them at our local health food store, but the regular grocery store has them too.

you can make your own tortilla chips. get a big pack of the small corn tortillas. cut them into triangles with a pizza wheel or sharp knife. spread on a cookie sheet. spray with olive oil, sprinkle with salt or maybe garlic salt, or you can use a cinnamon and sugar mix, then bake at 300 until crunchy. my boys love these!

i make buckwheat crepes and then dry the leftovers out.....I guess you could just start by making like a cracker with gluten free stuff. I like buckwheat a lot, the kasha that is roasted it's so yummy. I just discovered that seeds give me a stomach ache, so i even put it in my salads instead of nuts

I like the root chips and the sweet potato chips from Trader Joe's as a treat. I get tired of carrot sticks!
