epilepsy and seasonal allergies?

Thread Starter
hi, dd has been diagnosed with epilepsy (complex partial seizures) over the winter. she also has seasonal allergies. she takes tripeptal (7 ccs 2x/day) and she also takes singulair and rhinocort for her allergies, but she can't take any antihistamine. so far this spring she has been okay on just the singulair and the rhinocort, but in June she has very bad allergies due to grass pollen. does anyone have any ideas about what she can use besides anti-histamines? (which prevent the anti-epileptics from working)
thanks!

Have you tried Raw Local Honey?

Nettle tea is also used for allergies. I've also read that Nettle tea was used in the past to help control seizures. My dd with epilepsy refuses to drink any tea, however, so I can't give you any anectodal evidence.

Echinacea tea is also good for allergies, but NOT recommended for people with seizures.

Avoid eating melon, banana, cucumber, sunflower seeds, chamomile.
