I take no credit for this, because I got the idea from a thread here on Mothering, but I'm so amazed at the simplicity of this that I had to bring it up again...
Don't use bar soap in the shower! The other thread had someone point out that bar soap has fat in it to hold it together, and that is what leaves a residue on the walls and shower floor and doors.
Now, I used body wash, but DH used regular soap. I finally just went out and bought him "man's" body wash and a PUFF (in blue, so as not to make him feel to girly
although he's been quite the metrosexual lately anyway!).
Well, let me tell you, I barely need to do any cleaning in there. Thw water seems to wash everything away when we shower, and I just need to wipe everything down - no more scrubbing. The floor used to get this film on it but no more.
