Emma Francis is here!

Emma was born at 1:03 this morning! 8lbs, 9.9oz and 21 inches long. She's beautiful and so sweet and nursing fairly well and we're all just delighted!

I did end up having another section and not the VBAC I'd worked so hard for, but I really feel at peace with it. I didn't feel railroaded or coerced at all and felt like I had lots of agency within my labor and the ultimate decision to proceed to section.

I'll update soon with the full story and some pictures of my gorgeous girl!

Congratulations! I'm glad you feel at peace with your birthing experience--now enjoy your time bonding with your little girl!

Coincidentally, there are 12 years between me & my only sibling and we've always had a great relationship.

I thought I'd write a birth story here, but it got a bit long. I'll post a link when I'm done instead!

For now- we're doing well! Emma is under the bili lights unfortunately, but hopefully we'll be headed home tomorrow!
