Okay, so about a month or two ago, I started feeling this weird tingly/itchy feeling in my lower leg, front of the calf near my shin, whenever I shaved. It was the pressure of the razor. Just touching it with my hand didn't do too much, but I suppose the razor was just hard/soft and concentrated enough. I told dh how funny it was and we talked about how it's interesting how many weird aches and pains and just odd things happen to your body as you age. I wasn't really worried about it, wasn't too uncomfortable or anything, and, frankly, I've got bigger fish to fry.
Fast forward. I noticed these really strange little bruises that were in the same spots where I'd had the tingling, and the tingling was still there. Still not exactly painful, just a bit icky (something about the visual made it stranger). DH and I decided that, maybe, these were varicose veins in a sort of infancy. Okay, whatever. Not thrilled, but c'est la vie, right?
It took a couple of weeks and then the bruises dissipated. At first there was nothing, and now there are visible veins, not exactly in the same spot, but close. They're under the skin and not doing that roping thing like what I've seen when looking up varicose veins. My legs do ache a bit.
Thing is, I've always had weird leg cramps and aches (sometimes so bad I can't walk). No one has ever been able to figure them out, though a GI recently suggested that they might be related to my Crohns.
I guess my question is whether or not this pattern sounds familiar, whether I should be worried/have someone look at them.
Thanks for reading!
