My daughter has been complaining for a couple of months about her neck. She has said it is sore and she rubs the hollow directly in the middle of her neck.
This morning I rubbed on the sore spot and felt a tiny little bead, about the size of a grain of quinoa. It will move under my finger a little bit. I have never felt anything there before.
She says it hurts to eat and swallow and it is keeping her up at night. She also reports that ice cream makes it feel better although that could just be a ploy for ice cream.
I know most advice will be to rush her to the doctor but I am terrified of a malignant diagnosis because of the crazy news stories of parents being jailed and separated from their children for refusing chemo.
My daughter even said she wants to give her body a chance to heal naturally. (I am so proud of her)
What would you do? Could this be something very simple? Any thoughts of what else it could be? She still breastfeeds occasionally so I can ramp that up with no complaints from her. Thoughts? Advice? I am a wreck about this right now.
ETA: She had terrible cavities about a year ago and had two silver crowns put on (against my better judgement). I wonder if the metal in her mouth has anything to do with it.
