I am looking to order some things but not sure what others really like and wondered if you might consider sharing?

We really like the Mind Benders. Only, I really don't think they are the best value out there. This is one book that we don't write in--easy enough to make a grid on paper. I plan on using ours for all three kids. I need to get more bang for my buck!

I like several things, including the Can You Find Mes, math reasoning, and I use the Lang. Smarts as a supplement. Mostly, the colorful pages attract my kids and so I use them to spice things up now and then. But I don't use them as core curric. I also use some of the puzzle books for travel games. One child can read them out loud and the others can help solve.

For my 7th grader next year, we're using Real Life Math Mysteries (although I ordered it somewhere else cheaper), & Mind Benders. I plan on ordering Think A Grams, they look so fun! Those 1st 2 books I mentioned always seem to get rave reviews online in the forums I frequent (although I do have to admit that I was a little surprised by how thin the Mind Benders book ended up being. We won't be writing in ours either!) . I also am drooling over Fallacy Detective & The Art of Argument. I don't think the Critical Thinking Co carries those though. But those also constantly seem to get fantastic reviews from homeschoolers.

Thank you for the suggestions. I think these look fantastic for more fun activities, take-along, etc.!

we do mind benders and daily mind builders. the kids ask for them. like the pp said, the mind benders aren't the greatest value so we don't write in the books.
