What to put on my 5 year old at night?

My 5.5 year old son still pees a lot at night. He is shy about this and would like to be able to stay dry, but it's just not happening yet. Any suggestions of what to do with cloth diapers?

I don't think he would wear something that seemed too diaperish. He needs to be able to pull it on and off on his own.

He's a fairly heavy wetter and is small for his age...

The drymid boxer gets good review and someone suggested sewing in an extra invisible layer which I can easily do.

These are happy heinys pockets from diaperco. Diaperco mails very quickly and carries good products. I have plenty of things to stuff the pockets with for absorbacy that I’d share in order to defer the cost of the overnight pants if you’d like to try them.

I'm in the same boat with both of my boys (ages 4 and 6) who still wet pretty heavily when they're sound asleep. I recently bought them each one Imse Vimse training pant, but I'm not real happy with it. Those boxers in the link look very promising. I might have to try them. I would love to find a good alternative to the pull-ups I've been using (and my six-year-old hates)!

I have an almost 4yo dd who also wets at night and feels very self-conscious about it. We use Happy Heinies Pocket Trainers. They are basically a pull-on pocket diaper. They are available with snaps on the sides, or without. The ones we have don't have snaps, so they pull on and off just like underwear. You can stuff them with whatever you want. We use a prefold and a hemp insert. THis makes it a little bulky, but she needs that absorbancy.
