I was thinking copper IUD (since hormonal BC screwed with my head, so I'm scared of the Mirena). But I'm worried I missed my window for insertion PP, since I'm 8 weeks now. Anyone know about getting it inserted past 6 weeks?

Of course, I'm assuming I can find someone to put a copper one in. No luck so far in my calls to various OB/GYNs....

You can get one any time. It's easiest at 6w because you're usually still pretty open, but you didn't miss any window, AFAIK.

There are OB/GYNs that don't put a Paragard in????? Whyever not? If they insert Mirena, it shouldn't be any different.
