will i be able to nurse again?

we are starting to plan for #2 and after #1 weaned, my breasts literally disappeared....I am a 38AA and I can't feel anything there anymore. Does this spell any problems for nursing next time around? is it silly that I am worried about that or is it legit? I just couldn't imagine not nursing one of my little ones!

your breasts produced for your first, they will for your second. I have several friends who have gone down considerably in size between kids. size really doesn't matter.

Your mammary glands get large for the milk and displace the fat that is in your breasts. When they shrink, sometimes the fat doesn't all come back. The glands will get larger again for #2

You'll be fine!

Don't worry! I was a 36D before DD1 and after two years of nursing dropped to a 34A. I am pregnant with #2 and am already up to a C cup and producing colostrum already. You'll be fine.

And even if the boobs don't grow as much, breast size has nothing to do with nursing capacity.

I have like NO BOOBS AT ALL when I'm not nursing. Seriously-- an AA would be WAY too big on me. Anyway, I nursed twins with no serious problems at all. You'll be fine! Breast size is not related to milk production except in rare cases of inadequate glandular tissue, and if you made milk for your first, you will for your second.

My boobs went FLAT after my first weaned, like even flatter than they were before I was pregnancy. But by my second trimester with the twins, they'd grown significantly, and I always had plenty of milk. No worries!
