Vitex Question !

I am going to start taking vitex soon. The only question I have, is do I take it while I am on my period? Or just take it the whole cycle until I get my period?

I was told to take Vitex by my HCP and I don't remember her telling me to stop for my period so I'm going to take it straight through.

After I researched it online, I decided to not take it during my period. They said it was better to give your body a break. So I started taking it on CD 6 or 7 and at 10DPO I had a nice

i take it from when my period stops, (cd6 ish) untill ovulation. it can cause miscarriage in some women, and i dont want to risk it.

Thanks for the responses!!

So are you guys planning on taking it during the first trimester?
I have read so many mixed reviews. It can cause MC, it can prevent MC...Idk what to think!

Congrats! Did you wean yourself off it? Or are you taking it through the first trimester?

I have taken it with all of ttc journies. All the time. I took about 800 mg of dried caps all through-out my cycles and the first few weeks of my pregnacies. I have NEVER heard it can cause m/c in some women?

I have heard it prevents m/c because it can boost progesteron (sp im tired)
