bottle suggestions?

Hi,
I have an 8 week old and want to intro a bottle for occasional use. Years ago ( I have a 6 year old) Medela was the most BF friendly type of bottle-marketed for the bf moms. Now there are so many types. I would prefer glass this round to avoid the plastic stuff. I still have my medla pump, so would probably transfer milk from storage bags or something-so I am not worried about a system of pump/bottles. What is the latest/best idea for BF supportive bottle use? Any suggestions?

Honestly I like the playtex drop ins in the OLD nurser stye with the rubber nipples its all my first would take and all this one will take as well. Itsalso all I can use where a ton of my milk doesn't stick to the bottle including glass..

DD all out refused the bottle for weeks and weeks. When I went back to work she had still never accepted the bottle, yikes. Well, actually she took 1 bottle once early on and so we thought, ok no problem and since we didn't need to give her one we didn't. Fast forward a few weeks and we start practicing and she screamed the moment we put it near her mouth! After a few days with the babysitter she finally accepted the playtex drop ins with the latex natural latch nipple. I feel bad about using a disposable system, but clean up is so simple and I can pump into the drop ins and freeze/refrigerate without dirtying bottles. Ironic that we use cloth diapers and disposable bottle liners...

We tried several types of bottles and nipples. We have evenflo glass bottles but the nipples are small and very narrow, so not really bf friendly if you are concerned about going back and forth. I know many people who like the Dr Browns glass bottles. We have one tommee tippee bottle that DH prefers to use when he has had DD in the evening. It has a short nipple with a nice wide base which is more natural- well, for me anyway. DD gagged a lot of longer style nipples.

We tried Dr. Brown's glass bottles on my LO and he would take it (after lots of trying), but the milk came out too fast for him and he would choke. After going to my LLL meeting someone recommended the Breastflow, and he took those on the first go! They work better because he's able to control the milk flow better. They're plastic, though.

I found that both of my boy had very specific preferences. DS#1 would take anything except old style playtex and DS#2 would only use the Avent. I would suggest getting one bottle in a couple different styles and see which one works for you.

Check online for more options in the glass bottles. There are some wide neck version that you probably won't find at Target, Walmart, etc.

Evenflow bottles if you prefer glass. I use the 2.7 oz Medela pump bottles (plastic) so that they are easier to hold. Oh, and I use Dr. Browns and Playtex slow flow 0-3 month nipples.

We use the Breastflow bottles and love them, but they aren't glass. We do have one Born Free glass bottle and it seems to work ok too.
