I'm not sure if this is the correct category for this, but I had a breech vaginal birth with my 2nd child. We arrived at the hospital for a midwife-assisted delivery at 9 cm (oops!), and had no idea the baby was breech. Once it was discovered, the whole place turned upside-down (went from 2 people in the room to seemingly 20 in 2 seconds after she yelled, "breech!!"). They rushed me to a double-prepped room (one side for surgery) and the attending doctor was brought in to examine and question me. By God's mercy, he turned out to be one of the only doctors in the state who had been trained in vaginal breech births, and he quickly made the determination that I was a suitable candidate for attempting the vaginal birth. The baby was already so low in the canal, and I had a "proven" canal since I'd already had a vaginal 7lb-5oz birth. Anyway, three pushes (no drugs) and she was out and healthy - 7lb-11oz! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Well... not a breech would have been better, but you know what I mean!
