choosing a pressure canner

Anyone have any tips on choosing a pressure canner? I have a pressure cooker I've used for 15 years but it doesn't have a pressure gauge so I can't use it for canning since I don't know what lbs it's at.

We have and love our all-american pressure canner - it has a metal-metal seal, so theres no gaskets or seals to replace. Its great - and any and all of the pieces on it are replaceable, so if you manage to break/lose your guage, weight, or the little screwy things that tighten it down, you can just order a new one

We have this one or might be the next size up, can't remember.

I've already settled on the All American - my question is which size... The 3 mid-range sizes all do the same number of quarts, but the question is - do I want 10 pints or 19 pints? It's only a $15 difference (and I don't see the point of the 25 over the 21 - they hold the same # of jars).

All-American here, too. I have the 925. I also have a Mirro and Presto pressure canner, but almost never use them anymore in favor of my AA. It'll spoil you.

Thanks

I think we have the 915, which is big enough for me/us. Mostly I just do quarts anyhow, and the few things I do in pints, I don't do that many of so the bigger ones would just be wasting water/gas/etc heating it up over and over again.
