Not that odd to me. Snopes is generally known for their open-mindedness, and their thorough research. The part about the BFing is just part of the research.

I disagree about Snopes... I find them to be very mainstream and the information is not well rounded normally. The article on aspartame and vaccinations comes to mind...

I glanced over the article linked by the OP and ugh. I dislike the wording, the way becoming pregnant is talked about as if it is a bad thing. I have a very different view of the world than most. It is a view that was held by a majority in the past and will be held by the majority in the future, but for now I am odd one out. It is normal and desirable for teenagers to explore their sexuality and it is normal and natural for them to have babies. Then it is normal and natural for us to live in multigenerational settings so that the elders raise the children (us, the naturally minded ones, not our elders, they screwed it up, lol) babies are meant to be had by the young, then patiently taught by the elders....

Of course it talks as though getting pregnant is bad. The whole point is myths about preventing conception invented by people who aren't ready to get pregnant but want to have sex anyway.

The people who want to believe in the myths about preventing conception are not teenagers who are in control of their sexuality and are addressing it positively. It's the ones who don't want to admit to themselves that they're having sex.
