I need TF strategies to combat morning sickness

I'm not totally TF - more of a whole/traditional foods hybrid. Anyway, I'm tired of feeling sick all day long. Any suggestions?

For me, what worked was eating an apple first thing in the morning. For whatever reason, that was something I could tolerate. It had to be crispy and it couldn't be a granny smith, but any fuji or other tart/sweet apple worked well.

Then after I ate that, I'd eat a full meal within 20 minutes. The apple was enough to settle my stomach so I could do so. Plenty of fat and protein in your breakfast will start your day off right. Mostly I ate eggs. If I went past about 30-40 minutes after eating the apple, the nausea would return, and then I'd be stuck for the entire day.

The previous pregnancy, cheese and PB crackers were my morning snack of choice. Same set of circumstances though - eat a full meal within 20 minutes after getting my stomach settled (whether feeling hungry or not) and I'd be good, but if I waited I'd get nauseous again.

Having nuts on my bedside table helped, when I woke up in the middle of the night I'd eat them and that would buy me a bit more time in the morning to get some food into me. I wasn't TF my last pregnancy, so I can't recommend good, nutritious food that helped (besides the nuts).

Nothing really got rid of the nausea for me, honestly.

What helped me lower the amount a little bit was drinking lemon water with ds and this time around, weak tea or coffee (both decaf). Lemon water made it worse this time, but then again, all I want is MEAT and veggies and last time I practically became a vegetarian with my meat aversions.

But anyways, I found that the drinks helped more than anything I ate because of the 'sipping all day long' factor. It kept the nausea to reasonable levels, aka I could eat.

Raw milk can be helpful, if you can get it. SF recommends it to ease nausea. I've been drinking a lot of it lately. When the thought of eating ANYTHING turns my stomach, but I'm still hungry, the milk tides me over for a while. It's all so personal, though. A pp mentioned that she liked apples-they make me want to retch Bananas do the trick, though.

fresh ginger tea helped me in the morning before eating for a while. then that didn't work and it was black tea (i think i added milk and honey). then once i had protein i was fine, this last pregnancy. the first one my diet was way different and i had more nausea throughout the day, sometimes. might just not have eaten as regularly, too.

IME each person has their own certain foods that combat it. You just have to find ours. I'd try feeding my cravings and experimenting.

I am doing the B6/unisom combination because I was not functioning well. (I am 11 weeks now). I drank kombucha and did a TF diet before getting pregnant with my last baby and this baby and it does not matter...I get sick every time. I have had 4 pregnancies and this one is on the more severe side.

You do have to find your own combos of food. Mine are fruits, almost anything made from potatoes, salad, sweet drinks, salty things, burgers, sausage....NO: corn on the cob or chicken breast.

I eat some fruit (grapes, apple, peach) when I get up and then make a protein (eggs or turkey sauage)..If I don't eat protein it gets worse and I throw up. This week I like natural lemonade and limade. It seems to help to eat frequently (which I don't like because I am not a snacking type person.) My foods also change because after eating it day after day then it starts grossing me out and I have to find something else.
