Dev. Ped Eval Completed - No more apraxia

I think the only thing we know for sure is they don't see him as having apraxia, but we kind of suspected that based upon his most recent MFE test results on his speech.

Both his Expressive and Receptive are above average. His articulation is below average.

I felt so bad, because there are so many things I am sure I forgot to go over with the Ped, because I was so tired dealing with a newborn and having to get up at the crack of dawn to drive down for the appointment, with little to no sleep from trying to conquer breastfeeding issues with the new baby.

I will say that the Dev. Ped group in Cinci is wonderful. We got caught in traffic and they were not upset or anything, they got us in. They even tried to make me comfortable so I could nurse as needed while going through all the evals.

They did an OT Eval, Speech Eval, and a meeting with the Dev. Ped. Right now she wants to refer for a sleep study and also for a hearing re-screening. I need to call and schedule a follow up appt in about 3-4 weeks to go over the official results.

Did you see Wiley and Kummer? That's who diagnosed Connor with apraxia. I liked both of them very much! Wiley is helping me sort out the hearing aid issue right now, acting as sort a liaison between ENT and audiology.

Wiley also wants Connor to have a sleep study, I haven't had his ped put in the referral yet, I need to get that done.

We saw Dr. Wiley. And she is great.

Well, besides your lack of sleep, this sounds like a great appt.
