Sock pattern help

First socks ever but the pattern is giving me fits at the moment. Need some help please?

Heel flap:
row 1 (xxxxxxx)
row 2 (ccccccccc)

Work these two rows 11 times.

So does the above mean at the end I'll have 22 rows for the heel flap? Or 11? I worked it as 22.

Next step is Heel turning.

There are 7 rows with a k2tog or p2tog depending on which side of the work I'm on. Directions make perfect sense but the math does not. When I finish those 7 rows, I will have 15 stitches left on my needles right? I lose 1 stitch per row?

The pattern says I'll have 12 stitches...I cannot for the life of me figure this out!

I've ripped this out 3 times now and finally did the math in my head and it just does not add up. These needles and stitches are so stinkin' small I'm about ready to give but.

But press on I must!

Thanks,
~L.

heel flap should be 22 rows

What pattern is it? My heel flaps are usually 32 rows . Turning the heel puts me at the same number of st I started w/ on that needle. You might go on ravelry and read through the project pages. Sometimes someone had a similar problem and worked it out, thus giving you the answer.

It is a ravelry pattern, my links never work but I'll try. I'll also investigate the project pages and see if there is a tip there.

The heel turning just does not mathematically seem to make sense to me which is why I'm so confused. 7 from 22 will never equal 12.

Found this:

"There is an error in the pattern for shaping the heel in the smaller size but it is easy to work it out. Quick and easy pattern"

Of course I'm working the small size... So what is the easy fix for this?

Add in 3 more rows with decreases?

Thanks!

I'm having a dumb day , but you probably do either k2tog or p2tog, then the one st until that last st doesn't exisit. It should end on a p row.
