I set the six month goal for myself in the beginning because I didn't want to overwhelm myself with pumping and work. Well, I'm proud to say little man is six months old and we've made it! We had a rough patch in the beginning where I wanted to give up but I told myself, just make it to six weeks. And then it was just make it to eight weeks. And from then on out it's been a breeze. Pumping at work is manageable. I pump enough to meet his needs and he seems to reverse cycle a bit which is fine with me. The best part of my day is coming home and nursing. He'll unlatch and just give me these sweet, satisfied smiles when he's done.
So now that I hit six months, I want to try for a year. Or longer, who knows? Everyone is asking me when I'm going to stop but why would I? I make plenty of milk, I enjoy that time that forces me to unwind and just spend time with my baby, and to be honest besides the other benefits I'm just too cheap to pay for something when I can make my own for free.

YAY! What a great gift you've given your little man.
