Evap or faint BFP?

I'm currently 10 days late for AF. I tested Friday which would have made me 8 days late. I thought I saw a faint (extremely faint) line around 3 mins after I took the test, but it looked negative. I didn't check again within the ten minute time frame so a positive could have popped up. I was cleaning out my bag and looked at the test again. This time there was a small *blue* line that made a (+). I'm pretty certain it's just an evap but I thought evaps were grey/colorless.

It looks like an evap to me, but I'd test again to be sure. Good luck!

Unfortunately blue dye tests are notorious for giving you a + when you arent pregnant... this thread gives tons of first hand accounts of women who were heartbroken over theirs http://www.mothering.com/discussions....php?t=1206310 in ALL cases they were blue lines, some thin like yours some thick like they should have been, in almost all cases it showed up when it should have but a few were after the time limit.

Get a pink dye test and good luck!

If you werent charting your cycles... theres a good chance theres other reasons for your period to be late (such as a late ovulation/no ovulation, which can happen randomly to women who have never had that problem before)

I've been pregnant four times and the first test I took always looked like this when it was positive.

But, to be certain, go take another

I like the ones that say 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' but they are a little more expensive. That way you will just know- no guessing.

and also, try and take the test in the AM with your strongest most undiluted urine.

Good luck!

My early positive blue dye tests always looked like this too. Good luck!

When we were TTC I had a few tests (I didn't know about the horrible blue dye yet - Mae is the one who educated me on that ) that I left on the bathroom counter after they were negative and hours later they had two lines as if to indicate a positive. I didn't know it was a blue dye thing, but I knew enough that if it didn't come up positive within a certain time period then it was just the test trying to drive me crazy. I'm sad to say that it nearly always worked.

I'd get a pink dye test and try again. Actually, I'd already be dressed and walking to the pharmacy, but I'm the most impatient person in the world.

Good luck!

Another vote for a pink dye tests! Blue ones are notoriously bad.

Retested today..BFN. Hmm, going to call the doc tomorrow. I'm nearing the two week mark for being late.
