While this is true, there are quite a few of us around MDC who went past 40 with our twins. I went to 40+2.
This study wasn't out yet when I had my twins in 2005, though there were data suggesting 40 weeks should be treated as "term" for twins. This didn't bother me since I felt very confident in the monitoring I was getting from my hb midwife and the high risk OB I was seeing for shadow care.
Totally anecdotal, but my twins were bigger and feistier than their singleton sister who was born at 39 weeks.
