cluster feeding...sigh

My DS has decided that he wants to cluster feed from about 6pm to 10pm. I feel like my breasts are empty! Then he does this wonderful yanking on my nipple, I guess to try and get more milk out? It's great that he sleeps after 10 for longer stretches (3-4 hours) so I get a good night's sleep, but in the morning I am so full he can barely handle all of the milk...then by the evening I feel like I'm dried up and he gets frustrated! Is this going to balance itself out or is there something I should be doing other than letting him nurse on demand during these marathon nursing sessions?

It will all balance out and your boobies will get used to it, I promise.

Cluster feedings are a sign of growing, and while they can be annoying sometimes, they of course are necessary.

Keep up the good work mama

Evening cluster feeding is annoying but also really, really common. Hang in there, your supply will adjust after awhile. It sounds like you're doing great
