I'm chiming in from the Deep South where it's about 97 degrees and high humidity each day right now. Our home is kept about 80 degrees during the day but the kitchen is hotter due to sun. We keep our butter dish on the counter (but DH had to convince me this wasn't gross when we first married!) and the butter gets soft, but never puddles. Perfect for pancakes! Great to have already softened butter for recipes! Hard not to use to much for the sat. fat, though!
