BFN 14DPO Give Up? Or Have Hope?

So. My LP is never longer than 13 days and usually its 11 or 12. Today, I am 14 DPO, my temp is up, I have incredibly tender, heavy breasts, and very sore
nipples when nursing my DD.

But I got a BFN.

Has anyone, anyone, gotten a BFP after a 14DPO BFN? Or should I give up and just wait for AF?

Would love some success stories....

Or even a reality check.

Do you have a link to your chart? Maybe you ovulated a day or 2 later than you thought? It does sound promising though!

It is certainly possible that I O'd a few days later but based on the fact that I always have a temp dip at 4dpo, I just don't think it is that likely.

And yes, my chart is wacky. I have PCOS.

ETA~The few missing days on the chart, we were in Disneyland and I didn't feel like charting.

Stay positive I had a very late BFN I think it was 15 or 16dpo on my first prego. I even had an ultrasound at like 10dpo because of cramping and they didnt see the baby...........they said it was a cyst.

with my dd. caitlin i got a BFN at 14 dpo and 16 dpo my first and 2nd BFP's were at 19 dpo but where very faint i then got 2 deffinate BFP's at 23 DPO.

well, unless you are on progesterone and make the decision to stop it, you cant really give up, can you? either af will come or it wont, whether you test or not. if it were me, i would put a hold on testing. if af doesnt come in another 3-4 days or so, call your doctor and ask for advice, maybe a blood test. good luck!

Your coverline on that chart looks a little dodgy to me (just my opinion). I might put ovulation a few days later than you've got it.

When I got pregnant with my son, I held off on testing until 17 DPO - and got BFN. THen I left the country. I don't know how to say "pregnancy test" in German, so no BFP until 31 DPO. I gave birth 40 weeks to the day after that last period, so I'm pretty sure I was pregnant at 17 DPO. Hang in there. It's definitely possible not to get BFP until later.

because of that week of missing temps... Id put O at cd73 (which would still give you a slight dip at 4dpo from there, but keep all of your post-O temps above all of your pre-O temps)

I did think about that but my pre-O and post-O temps are fairly regular from cycle to cycle, and I never, ever go above 97.7 before O. Not to mention I had zero CM after CD 70.

Also, I got a +OPK CD's 66 & 67, which means I tentatively could have O'd on CD 70 or 71 but in nearly 10 years of charting, I've never had a cycle without a dip at 4 DPO.

Its just a suspicious, irritating cycle all around. Drat.

I think if AF doesn't show by Thursday, I'll test again. If I can hold off until then. LOL

Hope! There are tons of stories of people with late BFPs (I've sought them out myself in the past). Your symptoms sound promising. for you.

ANY cycle can be different... even if you never, EVER go above 97.7 pre-O, you suddenly could one cycle.

and you could very well get OPKs and not O afterwards, it happens to women all the time. It means you had an LH surge and something held off ovulation.

Nice to hear that some bfp's come after 14 days. I was in the same position last week, except that i was on progesterone, so that explained it. I hope its a bfp for you ;-)

With DS, I took a test at 14DPO and then iit took until 17DPO to get a POS. GL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope it works out for you!

I'm 13 DPO today..  My AF is 3 days late.. My temp has been elavated for over a week... My temp never rises as the onset of AF  I only ever get hot a few days into AF... 

SPARKLING GEMINI...   I'm almost in the same boat as you.. I'm beginning to lose hope because of BFN..    but then have a little hope because no AF...

I've been researching... (as it's the only thing that settles my mind at the moment)    HCG levels are reported to be lower in Male Embryo's than Female embryos... 

Within 1-2 days of my AF being late with both my daughters I got obvious BFP's...   Now.. I'm not trying to get either of our hopes up but this may be a reason for the BFN's as there is simply just not high enough levels of HCG for the HPT's to detect...    Maybe.... ????
