Chart stalkers to help with O date (please)

Hi,

I've never had FF not give me crosshairs before (except on cycles where I did not ovulate). But I'm pretty sure I did this month.

Can anyone check this out and let me know what they think?
I have set it at advanced, and nothing.
I set it to OPK and it gives me CD16.
I set it to Research and it gave me CD15 (which is what I kind of think) but then with today's temp it took my solid crosshairs away for whatever reason.

My temps are usually pretty stable pre O (last cycle was weird, that O date was from setting it to OPK, Advanced put 0 on CD14).

For this month, just looking at temps, I would totally say CD14 but the + OPKs after that don't make sense to me....

Any words of wisdom would be appreciate.

Well I do not have any words of wisdom but IMO I think you O'ed on CD 14 or 15. FF can be so confusing sometimes I am having a similar problem. Good luck and I know you will get some good solid answers on here!

did you try FAM method too? i dont know if they require 6 pre-o temps, but by fam, your coverline would be 97.5, so it would look good for cd14. i think 14 too. i have had 1 day of fertile cm after o, especially if you o in the evening or during the night, and still have ew in the am, i dont think that's too unusual. re: your opks, maybe you are slow to metabolize it. have you noticed you o on the first day of + opks before? it could be a little slow to get into your urine, hence the short notice, and a little slow to clear out? and there are many who say dont do opks after you get a pos, that it doesnt matter. if you take out the subsequent opks, does that change ff's inclination? ff is just a computer program, after all, and while it's great, we know as much about the old-fashioned rules of charting as it does. 3 temps at least 0.2 but usually 0.4 or more above your last temp before the shift, with a coverline which is 1/10th above the past 6 temps. that's the basic rule. ff tries to be nice and give us lower coverlines and fudge things here and there based on their bank of charts, but we can look at it and guess as much as they can, or better.

I'd say cd 14 as O day since it seems like a pretty clear temp shift.

I think it could be cd 15 with a leftover surge and slow rise but could also even be up to cd18? I don't get why any CHs got taken away either. FF gets PMS-y sometimes too I think :/ Either way, you got your BDing covered and I def think you have O'd. Just don't be discouraged at any BFNs when testing later in case your O date is the later day?

oh, FM, that's so frustrating when it's not clear. well, i don't know much about OPK's. I'm more of a temp girl. so i would vote for CD 14 as ov. day. That thermal shift does seem pretty clear. Are you certain there was EW on CD 15? could it have been semen? I suppose too that just because there was EW there doesn't mean that it was produced after ovulation.

What karmab said about opk's made sense. That sounds logical that different people may metabolize LH differently. LH should be inhibited (I think by estrogen) once ovulation has occurred... but as far as how/when that shows up in urine (and at how much of a delay) is hard to know. If that's true that the directions say to stop testing once you get a pos, then I would give the opk's less cred than the temp shift.

The logical me wants to say, well it's only a matter of a day or two difference. And you'll know soon enough, so does it really matter? But the side of me that is in your shoes each month, analyzing and picking apart absolutely everything totally understands how important this all is while you're doing it.

I changed my detector to FAM and it chose CD14 as O.
I might agree, my "wettest" day was CD13 (like crazy EWCM almost needed to wear a liner kind of dealio). CD15 was ewcm not his "distribution" because it was stretchy but it was whitish strethcy not as white. Hybrid CM. I feel better about the chart in terms of timing with CD14, and back pre-kids I always Od on cd14 and had that tidy 28 day cycle.

And no it doesn't super matter all that much but I did go back and change last months to FAM and it moved my O day back a day or so and gave me a 14 day LP. Too bad it didn't change my BFN to a BFP.

I agree - I think it was CD14 as well - good luck! Your chart looks GREAT! I hope you get that BFP soon, will you be testing in a few days?

I think I'm going to wait until next weekend.
Especially because the dates are a little grey, I don't want to torture myself.

I mean, I want to test now but I get so depressed after seeing 123 BFNs that it really bums me out. Plus I don't *feel* pregnant. Not that there is a feel but I haven't had any twinges or cramps or anything weird.

hybrid cm. true. you know there are a lot more types of cm than sticky, creamy, wet, and watery. it's like how the eskimos have 200 words for snow. the creighton method, which i dont know about really, but someone here may be schooled in it, has like dozens of differentiations for cm. it's hard sometimes to fit it into one of those four categories, isnt it.

oh yeah, and your chart looks totally reasonable to me with fam method there, and cd14 for o.
