Rash/Redness from FuzziBunz?

Hi Mamas-

I've been prefold and covering my 3.5 month old for most of her life. I recently thought I'd try some pocket dipes and bought some FuzziBunz One Size. Since using them, though, she's developed a red rash on her bum. I went back to prefolds and it went away. Tried FB again, rash again.

Is she just not suited to the synthetic fabric? Am I doing something wrong?

Did you buy new or used? If new, have you washed them a bunch of times to try and get out the extra chemicals and junk that are in them when you first buy them? If you bought them used...could there still be a weird detergent or something lingering in them?

Have you tried boiling them?

I never had this problem with fb, but I've heard about it a lot with other people who used fuzzi bunz. Especially the newer ones. Hope you can figure it out.
