The FABULOUS ONE Thread - May 23rd to May 29th - Page 2

*sing song voice* I don't know what's going onnnnn...

Chart is here

OK, so, according to the wonderful experts here, it is likely that I O'd on CD14-16 instead of CD8 (which is a mistake, I'm sure on FF due to my missing temps this month).

We BD on 19th only unfortunately, which meant at the very earliest, 3dpo.

Here I am at CD23. Last month, I had a 23 day cycle too, after years (and years, and years, and years) of a 28 day cycle. I had a temp drop today and spotting, but the drop is still about FF's coverline. AF? Who knows, but likely.

Can I bother you good ladies to take a look? I highly doubt (highly highly doubt) that this is implantation, but teeeeeeechnically it could be.

I know that this is a long shot, and with last months 23 day cycle, I have little hope, but humour me?

sml, i hope im wrong but im sorry to say i think af is on her way. everyone can have a funky cycle or two, but you may want to think about adding a bcomplex + b6 this cycle starting day 1, 50-200 mg b6. if you keep having short cycles, definitely talk to your doctor about it. will you be able to temp this month? if not, if you check cp and cm everyday, you can have a real good idea of when you o- it's not confirmation of o, i know, but it can give you a much better idea than having no data for sure.
SML,
It's not over until you're bleeding. I agree that it's not too likely, but if you ovulated later than previously thought, that temp drop could be the estrogen surge that occurs around 8dpo. I don't want to give you false hope, though. I think that your BD timing really does make it even more unlikely, unfortunately. I know that for some people the temping all cycle thing can be more stress than it's worth, but i'm a fan. I think it's really helpful to figure out what's going on. Can you temp all month next time, if you do end up starting AF? it might really help you to get a better picture. hope that's helpful in some way.
as for me, what do you guys thing about spotting after AF?
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/256f5e

I had bleeding for 5 days, then spotting for 3. Pre-pregnancy, I used to have 4-5 days of bleeding, no spotting.

I know we talk about pre-AF spotting being indicative of potential progesterone deficiency, but what about post-AF? Is it a problem with estrogen? Either estrogen deficiency, or progesterone not backing down quickly enough? It's interesting that my temps are super wacky and all over the place too.

would love some thoughts.
scarletjane- idk on post af spot. I usually get it also, for a couple days. I have kids and have always had the pattern, so i doubt it means you can't.

sml- of course it's possible, but perhaps not likely? the timing even with the later O prospect seems a bit too late for conception to occur imo. but a 23 day cycle last month is not indicative of how long it will be this month, esp. since it's not your norm. the lp length would tell us much more, so it may help to keep track of that in general. that said, i hope you surprise everyone!

lovebug- hi. are you anywhere else, perchance, with an elmo?

sorry that's most of what i can remember right now, folks

oh yeah, jennifer don't pee yet

Ostensibly 4dpo today...

I'm baaaaaaack! Please add me to the front page. Chart not up yet as I start in a few days and am waiting for that. You can put me at Waiting to Be Ready because I'm trying to get a few months of folic acid in me before I really start trying.

It's been months since I posted here and I'm sad to see some of you are still here.

Hope this is a productive cycle for you all.

eeek! bloody nose, out of nowhere, just started dripping. progesterone, right?
Hello Evergreen!!!

AAM... I spotted last night, at 7dpo. I don't spot normally. It was only a couple spots, and a little cramping. I also had some light cramping this morning, but so far, no more blood. We will see what the rest of the day brings. If AF does arrive early, I will blame it on those #%@& atibiotics I took around ovulation.
No time for personals, but guess who just got a positive OPK? Now off to find dh and uh hum, get busy! Again

Huh, I don't know? Does progesterone make your nose bleed?

Put it in FF and see how many points it gives you.
i just remember mae saying she had a nose bleed in her 2ww this last time, and then other ladies saying they had too when they got their you know whats, dont want to even say it, rhymes with b-f-tease.

i cant remember the last time i had a nose bleed.
oh, karmab, i have a seriously good feeling about that nose bleed... um, as long as fertilifrenemy didn't give it to you. and stevi, that sounds awfully promising too! i'm NOT encouraging anyone to start peeing on sticks, but i cannot WAIT until you do!!

I had a temp drop for 2 days last cycle (7 & 8DPO) to just above the coverline. That freaked me out too, but then it went back up again on 9DPO.

Oh, your chart doesn't look so bad. Before getting pregnant with my son, I had spotting before and after, sometimes for DAYS. So, most cycles I was either spotting or bleeding for at least a week. There was nothing wrong with me fertility wise.

If you want to see really sad, take a look at my off and on spotting this cycle all the way to CD12: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2e2172/. Again annoying, but I'm not convinced there's anything wrong with me now. Hopefully not, anyway.

I had so many bloody noses while pregnant. I once had a doctor fix my nose (I call it my "nose job" ) because I had several nose bleeds per week. After that, I hardly had any...UNTIL I got pregnant. Especially early in the pregnancy. Just saying...

Hey ladies! I'm going to go ahead and jump back in head first. I'll be starting nursing school this fall (hopefully!) so really the last thing I should be thinking about is continuing to ttc, but after celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary (and 3 years off ttc) last week, we don't wait for anything any more. I have one prescription of Clomid left that I'm going to take this next cycle. Right now I'm just waiting around for AF to start and if she's not here in a week, I'll test. After two months of keeping my fingers away from my cervix and my thermometer far, far away from the nightstand, I'm kind of excited to get to obsess again. I've been lurking, but promise to be more active in the coming month!

It could occur from progesterone supplementation or from any other condition which causes a big spike in progesterone. And, more boring, it could be allergies.

If it's related to estrogen, it would be from too much estrogen - it's referred to as estrogen dominance. Also, low progesterone will affect the entire cycle, not just the luteal phase. And low progesterone can be causes by estrogen dominance. Or, it could just be a total fluke.

AFM: AF showed up today. that is awesome news. if she keeps this timing we MIGHT hit getting PG on DHs R&R. it would hit perfect, so my fingers are crossed for that. it gives me something to look forward to!

BEST OF LUCK LADIES!!!!
Can I add you to waiting to O? Welcome back!

I am booked in to see a natural preconception health specialist on Wednesday. DH and I will be pin cushions to find out the current state of our health. I am secretly hoping that all the tests will suddenly reveal a BFP but 1) I am not confident this month and 2) i will only be 4 dpo when they do the tests..

Please be a big BFP month. I love logging on and reading about people's BFPs.

Baby dust to all! Ant x
PS Does anyone know how to add your FF chart?
Welcome!! I have added you.

Guess what? FF definitely reads this board. I just got a free VIP trial. And now it says pregnancy points are not awarded until after ovulation. I kow that wasn't the case during my last free trial as I had points while menstruating.

Interesting. So, hypothetically speaking...

High estrogen also causes low temperatures, right? So, days with spotting could have lower temps than the days without spotting?

Off to dissect my chart now...

I hope it's a good sign for you. I do tend to have some blood in my nose during the 2ww, but I don't have nosebleeds. I checked out your chart, and I love seeing the temp vacation post-O! How have you felt about it? I'm really looking forward to not temping after O.

that you were having some implantation spotting! That would be so exciting!

about FF reading this board! I've enjoyed reading all about the spastic behavior of FF the past couple of days.

AFM - I'm just waiting to O. It should happen in the next few days though, I think. It feels like my body is gearing up.

Oh, I had blood work done last week to check LH, FSH, my thyroid and a few other things, and everything checked out just fine. All my levels were normal. I'll go back on 7 dpo to check my progesterone, and if I don't get pregnant this cycle, i'll have an u/s early next cycle to see if they can find out why I have so much spotting. If everything checks out fine, I guess I'll just stop worrying about it.

Hypothetically, it can. Low temps can also be caused by thyroid dysfunction or adrenal dysfunction. Interesting to note, progesterone, estrogen, thyroid function and cortisol (from the adrenals) are all tied together.

dh and me at cooking school: http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/t...ngcopyii-1.jpg

here's a recipe from that class- i've made this 10 times already and given it to friends and everybody loves it.

cashew butter (like peanut butter but better)

1 cup roasted cashews
3 Tbsp sunflower oil (i just use canola, cuz that's what i have, and it's fine too)
2 tsp honey
1/8 tsp table salt (if your cashews are unsalted, otherwise, you dont need it)

blend in a food processor for about 30 seconds. scrape down sides when necessary (or use a blender.) you can use a little extra oil to make it creamier if you like.

eat it on celery or fresh bread or toast or apples or whatever you like. it's amazing. im told you can do the same recipe with peanuts, pistachios, almonds, etc. too.

im so far behind on personals, welcome again to new friends, and hello to returning folks. and good to see you, rochelle!

Let's just leave me in waiting to be ready for now until AF shows, then I'll ask to be moved. Thanks!
