Worcestershire sauce

I know this subject comes up from time to time - the HFCS in W sauce.

I was shopping a few weeks ago and tripped across a random bottle of W sauce, and picked it up, because that's just what I do. I'm always on the lookout for a W sauce that tastes "right" - and none of the widely available sauces I've tried do.

But this one does!

Brand is Cajun Power, www.cajunpowersauce.com

Ingredients: Vinegar, Onions, Garlic, Molasses, Herbs, Spices, Red Pepper, Black Pepper, Sucrose, Xanthan Gum, Salt, Celery.

It doesn't have the tamarind or the anchovy that I associate with W sauce, but hey, it tastes great! I'm so psyched! I'm going to have to pick up a couple more bottles next time I make that drive - the store where I got it is over an hour away.

Thought I would share.

Pedricks on I80 in Dixon. So a serious drive, but we go past once a month or so as we take the babe to see great g'ma.

The only brand w/o hfcs at our regular grocery store is French's. It's good, too. The ingredients aren't too bad & it is probably more widely available.

from their website

Good job on finding one w/good ingredients. It's not that easy!

I can't find French's around here, but Crystal also uses CS instead of HFCS. But I've been looking for one without CS altogether.

Thanks! This is so frustrating, huh?

The only kind I can find without HFCS is Western Family, which has just corn syrup (besides the vegan ones that just seem strange to me). I haven't done any taste tests, but I doubt it is the best! Just what I am willing to buy though.

I'll keep my eyes open for this one
