15 month old diagnosed with peanut allergy

...and I don't know where to start to learn more about this...I looked back in the threads and didn't see much - could anyone point me to a thread, resource or book so I could learn more?

She was skin tested today, and showed up 'strongly positive' according to allergist. We had her tested because she had some peanut butter and got welts on her face and arms...no other tests came out positive. MD gave us 2 epipens, instructions on how to use benadryl, told us to get her RAST tested at age 2, and then send us on our way...so i'd like to learn a little more...

You will need to check foods she eats for cross contamination/shared equipment with peanut. Companies don't have to list shared equipment on labels and studies have shown that you have a high risk of enough contamination to cause reactions in situations like that. So call and email companies and ask if the product in question has shared equipment with peanut products.

It's a different world but in time it feels more manageable to me.

She has a decent chance of outgrowing peanut.
