Dr. Fuhrman's "Eat to Live" is one of the best nutrition/diet books I have read. He advocates a vegan diet and has lots of great information, references to studies, etc.

THE definitive 'bible' of veg*n nutrition is Becoming Vegan by Davis and Melina. It's seriously seriously excellent.

YES! 'tis excellent. His Disease Proof Your Child is also wonderful if you're interested in reading up children's nutrition.
