How to repair a hole in a hose?

From, oh, a tooth.

My dog seems to think the hose is out to get him. I have to water new bushes every other day. It is gonna be a loooong couple of weeks.

Any idea how to fix?

quick fix: duct tape

permanent fix: hose repair kit @ hardware store
