Running shoe question

I'm trying to find a decent pair of running shoes. I really can't afford to spend more than $80, but if I had to I'd go up to $100. The problem I'm running into is that I have orthodics that I have to wear when I run or my feet fall apart and my knees hurt so badly that walking becomes an issue. So I need a running shoe that is deep set. The shoes I have now arent' deep enough. My feet feel like they are slipping out at the heel a little bit and I noticed that my ankles are very sore after I run. I suspect since the orthodics lift me up out of the shoe a bit that my ankles aren't getting enough support. I have already taken out the lining that is in the shoe.

So any shoe advice?

Can you go to a running specialty store and see what they recommend. After they tell you which models to look for, perhaps you can look on line and find them cheaper. Good Luck, I need new shoes too, but already spent a pretty penny on some that aren't working for me

That's a great idea! My best friends dh is a marathon runner and also manages a running store. I can't believe I didn't think to ask him!
