We all know that human milk is "low residue", and that breastfed babies can go a while between poos. So: how long as your healthy, non-constipated breastfed baby gone without pooping? I'm curious about what must be a wide range of normal.

Not very long at all (he goes many many times a day! lol)...mind hes only 4 weeks old.
A friend of mine DD used to go about every 9 days! lol

Cecilia, at 7 weeks old, is a fairly consistent once a day pooper, but about once a week she goes two days without a poop and then has two massive poops within half an hour of each other.

My son at 3 months started pooping 2xs a week, the longest he went was 8 days. He still just poops 1-2 xs a week. It makes EC with poop easy.

My younger one probably never went more than three days, but I voted for the older one as she went the longest. She'd regularly go more than 7 days, but I don't think ever more than 10, so I voted 7 to 10.

Gosh, I think my first baby went 7 days once. I remember being freaked out, but as soon as I thought I might call the ped, she had a massive, explosive poop.

I've been feeling so guilty that I can't remember stuff like this for DD1...and I didn't take notes or anything Bad Mom!

So I answered for DD2 who up until the past week or so (she is 14 weeks-ish), went after every feeding. I also have oversupply & letdown-don't know if that makes her go more frequent or not?

The past week, she has had quite a few wet dipes without poop finally but she still poops often throughout the day.

It's been 4-6 weeks since she went at night while sleeping which has been awesome!

DD2 is 13 weeks and poops about every 7-10 days, though a couple times has surprised me by going after 3 days!! The last time she pooped we were in the middle of the woods, and then time before that we were at the US Embassy in London waiting to be called for our appointment! We changed it in the waiting room so we didn't miss getting called. The whole place must've stunk! Don't know why I just told you all that but oh well!

I didn't see the option for every hour?

My LO skipped one day only, and she is 8 months old
My friends EBF baby had 13 days without nr.2 And then, on Day 14 she had to bathe her after she pooped

When he got older (6mo?) it could be a week to 10 days...and yes, it was like he saved it all up for one massive poop.

My ds2 would routinely go 2 weeks (give or take a few days). There were several months that I only changed 2 dirty diapers!

When I eliminated dairy and soy from my diet, DD went from every day to every 3 or 4 days. When she started actually swallowing solids and we added an iron supplement (she was severely anemic), she pooped about once a week. That's pretty much the schedule she's still on, but it varies depending on what she's eaten.

After the first 2-3 months Denali was a very consistent once-a-week pooper. This continued until she started solids.

LOL, I know, right? For the first month, she pooped maybe 3-5 times PER FEEDING!

Now, at almost 6 months, on solids once a day-ish, she still poops 3-5 times a day, and has never gone more than 12 hours with offering up a treat for us.

Starting around 2mo old both of my kids went every 5-7 days. Once solids were introduced it went back to daily.

LOL! I have the other extreme. DS at almost 5 months still poops close to 5 times a day. Lots of little poops. We're doing better at catching them though.

Two of my six were long-interval poopers. They'd go six or seven days usually. #4 was incredibly regular for several months - every single Wednesday, right about lunchtime.

That one, however, had constipation issues later on, when he was about three. He wasn't breastfed anymore, though, so it doesn't factor into THIS survey.

Mine is still 3-6 times a day, but he is only 5 weeks old.
