enzymes during pregnancy - ok?

I have managed to control my m/s better with b6 pills, but whenever I eat (no matter how small) I get a painful sensation in the pit of my stomach about 20-30 minutes later, which I can only guess is my food being digested.

I had an ulcer when I was younger, and this isn't quite the same kind of pain, it's more painful and hurts rather than "burning" like the ulcer and the ulcer pain would happen about 2 hours after I ate. So it's like it hurts to digest the food because I feel better when my stomach is empty, rather than feeling better when it's full like I did with the ulcer. And it makes me sick to my stomach after I eat instead of feeling better with food in it

Anyway - do you think helping things along with digestive enzymes would help? I know antacids don't work, I tried that, so I am thinking I don't have enough stomach acid to break down the food? I just want this pain to go away and not sure how to do it.

I take digestive enzymes while pregnant for severe reflux. You can also try probiotics or a combination of both. You might want to look at the individual ingredients in the enzyme product you choose to make sure they are okay- for example plain licorice is not recommended during pregnancy.

I was going to take V-gest, which I just happen to have and was taking before. It's made with aspergillus. I can't imagine it would hurt anything, but I thought I would ask

I take digestive enzymes and probiotics before I eat but I'd look up the ingredients if I were you. I also take papaya enzymes after I eat or when I get this icky feeling in my stomach- which isn't pain or necessarily heart burn but can be pretty uncomfortable. I have read they are recommended for heart burn. Also, maybe see if it's something you are eating, like greasy food could be making something inside of you act up.
