My DD is 20 months, she has always been a little girl. Her Daddy and I are both tall and slender so we have never worried about her weight. She gained perfectly the first year of her life but then at 12 months she slowed drastically which I know is normal so I never worried.
She is perfectly healthy, never had so much as a cold. So again, I have never worried, until now. She is 32 inches and maybe 22 lbs on a good day. She fluctuates between 21-23, so she is in the 50% for her height and mayeb 5% for her weight I think. She was 20lbs at 12 months and 30 inches. She is has put on 2 lbs and 2 inches in 8 months. According to kellymom.com 18-36 months they should be gaining 7-11 ounces a month, if my math is correct she has gained 4 ounces a month??
But she hardly eats. My mother has tried EVERYTHING and so have I, some days she is just not interested in anything at all. She nurses only before nap and bed and wakes during the night 1-3 times to nurse because (I believe) she is still hungry. She poops once a day usually, sometimes she'll miss a day. This has all gotten worse in the past few days and she has been extremely grumpy, whiny and upset easily, especially after waking in the morning or from her nap. She has also been having a REALLY hard time falling asleep at night. I think she is fighting it because she can, but I can't be sure. She was teething last week, a had a slight fever, drooling, but that all stopped. She has no signs of any illness.
Now we (DD and I) are currently visiting my family in the States, and when we first arrived my Mother was shocked at how skinny she is. We have a history of Type 1 diabetes in my family, my brother, cousin and aunt have it. So we tested her a couple of time yesterday and today with my brothers testing equipment. She is fine, completely normal numbers even after a lot of sugar and then after not eating all night. So I think we have ruled that out.
Any ideas what I can do to get her to eat? Should I have her evaluated when I return home? Should I be concerned about her weight/height? Have her tested again for diabetes?
Any help is appreciated!!! :-)

But we're moms, it's in our nature to worry.
