Ear infections and wheat

I've been struggling with ear infection issues and/or fluid with my youngest son. He is 10 months old and is mostly breastfed. He eats very little solids. The solids he does eat are pretty much things like applesauce, avocado, sweet potato, green beans, peas, a very tiny bit of chicken.

I've taken dairy out of my diet, but I'm wondering if really, truly there is evidence that wheat in MY diet could be bothering him. It is really hard to be dairy free, but doable. It's super super super hard to be wheat free, too. I don't want to put myself through it for no reason.

I have an EarCheck monitor and his ears had finally gone down in the fluid reading yesterday evening. I'd been doing some massage from Mary Ann Block's video.

But by this morning, it was at the highest reading and he's quite fussy. Yesterday, I made about seven loaves of bread and I've been eating it like it's going out of style.

Does anyone have an anecdotal story, or better yet, hard evidence to support this idea?

from my experience, i think wheat could definitely cause fluid build-up. i would take it our for a couple of weeks and monitor.

I would have him checked for issues before I would start eliminating things. Not all allergens/sensitives result in obvious symptoms.

I went through a big huge elimination diet for an illness only to find out after I had gone through the whole thing that I have a dairy allergy. I don't have obvious symptoms to dairy.
