We vaccinated our daughters mostly on schedule until about 18m when we changed our minds. They have not had CP or any boosters after 18 months. As homeschoolers it has never come up, but we are enrolling them in a virtual academy this year, which is public school, and subject to vaccine requirements. They are requesting vaccine records. Do I fill out what they have had and then check the philosophical objection? Can that be questioned?

We were in the same boat with DS, vaxd until about 2 and haven't done any since. He's in MPS this year for 4K. I made the decision to just check the philosophical objection and not list any vaxs that he had already received. I figured it would be much better received taking this route and we've never been questioned about vaxing.

I'm near Madison and my daughter is in first grade. We vaxed her through 6 mos and then stopped. I checked the philosophical exemption box on the form and did not list any of her shots. She's not "up to date" so they wouldn't consider her immunized anyway. I was worried last year with her starting K that we would be questioned but we haven't had any problems. I was also very concerned when they were planning to hold H1N1 clinics at the school. We had planned to keep her home that day (even though we had sent back the form saying that we did not want the shot) but then they didn't have enough vax delivered so the clinic was cancelled.

I live in WI. Since many doctors report the child's vaccines to the database, not filling out the form fully is fairly pointless. Just fill in the ones your child has had and check the philosophical exemption. Believe me, they will not give you a hard time about it. I haven't had one problem yet and I have 2 partially vaxed kids enrolled in WI public schools.

We are just finishing out first year of WI virtual. My son was vaccinated till about 18 months but I always just left the vaccination spots blank and checked religious exemption for regular public. This year, with virtual, I actually forgot to send in his paper work and they never said anything. I don't recommend that, but I do recommend just leaving the spaces blank and selecting your exemption. Its really not their business what your child has had in the past since they wont be around "outbreaks" anyways.
