Possible eczema??

Hi there- I'm new here and sure could use some advice/suggestions!

I'm trying to get to the bottom of my 3 month old DS's digestive issues (reflux, gas, writhing around in discomfort) and it just occurred to me that the rash on his cheeks could be eczema. I NEVER considered it before and feel stupid about that, but he sometimes gets this bumpy rash all over his cheeks and chin that looks like acne or something. He actually even had it in full force yesterday when visiting the pedi to discuss his digestive issues. The pedi didn't say a thing about it, and I didn't even think to bring his attention to it since I was totally ignorant to the whole eczema possibility!

If your DC has/had eczema...did it look like what I described above? I'm so hoping to solve Reid's mystery and the doctor isn't all that helpful.

It could be eczema, or a contact reaction to a food. Are you eliminating foods to determine what's causing the night waking/gas/eczema, etc? Keeping a food journal?

Yes, my DD had eczema as a baby and from about 2 weeks old through 3 months old, it looked like a baby acne type rash that would come and go around the checks/jaw/neck area. Then at 4 months old it turned into what typical eczema looks like with dry yellow scales. Calendula cream helped take care of the dryness and helped soothe her skin.
