Most unusual symptom..anybody get this?

I'm about 7.5 weeks along. Got the most eyebrow raising symptom (if it is that)-my left butt has been hurting! The pain is almost in one single spot and it feels bone deep. Not unbearable or particularly painful, but just there. I've felt it on and off earlier and today its been felt at several points in the day, sometimes lasting for a while.

Anybody go through something similar?

sounds an awful lot like sciatic nerve pain. tho sciatic nerve tends to be quite painful, but not always. if not that, IDK what else.
if this is your 1st pg, get used to blaming EVERYTHING on the pg.

It's probably your piriformis muscle. Google some stretches and get a massage when you're out of your first trimester.

The sciatic nerve passes under (and sometimes through) the piriformis, so it can cause shooting pain down the back of your leg all the way to your foot.

It's really common during pregnancy, I had it with both of my DDs.

Yup, I get that, mostly on my right but I had the other side a bit, too, this week. Stretching feels gooooood.

I have problems in my sacroiliac (SI) joint ALL the time - but it gets worse when pg. I remember telling a doc once that it was my hip, and he said, "Um, that's NOT your hip." I felt like it was my hip socket, but, not that either. Thankfully we eventually identified it.

I find chiropractic care helps a LOT. When not pg I get some muscle stim there sometimes. Massage is very good, too! I get one tomorrow.

yup, on my right side. oh the joys of sciatic pain. a chiropractor and a massage therapist can both do wonders
