What do you do when you've exhausted the resources in your community?

DS is 8 weeks old, and breastfeeding has been a struggle. He slips off the breast every few sucks. After spending weeks seeing various professionals, he had a tongue tie clipped at 5.5 weeks. We're now more than 2 weeks past the clip with very little improvement.

I've seen 2 lactation consultants, 2 oral-motor therapists, 2 ENT doctors, and a chiropractor; attended a LLL meeting, and spoken with a LLL leader.

I feel like I've exhausted the resources in my community, but breastfeeding still isn't going well and I'm starting to get very frustrated. Where do I go from here? Is there anywhere else to go to for help?

I don't have any specific advice -- just couldn't read and not reply.
It sounds like you're having a rough time of it. Hooray for you for working so hard to breastfeed your little one. I know it's not easy! We had latch problems early on but they were solved with a few weeks of nipple shield use. I hope that the other mamas here have some advice for you that you can use.
Also, please please try to get in some naps, some nutritious meals, and get help around the house so you can focus on your little one.

I would call those people and let them know you are still having trouble and ask them for the best person they know to help you. You decide the area, you may only be able to travel up to an hour or you could extend it to your state. Also ask other moms like those at the LLL meeting you attend. There has got to be someone who is a true expert around.
