cervix, if pregnant

i think this belongs in ttc because it's a question for ladies who chart/check fertility signs.

ive been pg before, but never while checking cm/cp. today i am 9 dpo. my cervix has been a little funky this 2ww. for any ladies who have checked their cervices in cycles with bfps, was it any different? mine has been consistently quite firm (and higher than normal in 2ww, even from the beginning) until today. today it is still very high and it's mushier than ever. i wouldnt even call it soft, it's mushy. i've not felt it this way in the 5 mths that ive been checking it. i have been on progesterone each of the last 4 lps, so im on it now, but since i havent felt this before so im not thinking it's from that.

is it just a fluke? has this happened to anyone else? i also had a nose bleed today out of the blue, another very unusual thing, hasnt happened in at least 10 years. im starting to think there is something going on in there, but i dont want to get psyched just to be disappointed. i would like to wait a couple more days to test, because im tired of bfn's breaking my heart all the time. any thoughts?

Cervical changes in a pregnant women generally do not happen for weeks after pregnancy has already been confirmed.

Myself, checking at different times of day or in different positions could change it from firm to mushy. It would never turn consistently firm until within half hour of AF starting (and after that I wouldn't check!)

The only thing CP can tell you for sure is if you are gearing up to O. Nothing about pregnancy or AF.

Yeah that. I'm 16 weeks pregnant and my cervix still is all over the place when I check (though mostly up) and I don't check all that often anymore.

I dunno. I noticed that very soon after I last got pregnant, before I took a test or was able to tell from a home test (in fact this is what made me think that I needed to get the test!) that my cervix was shut TIGHT. Tighter than it had ever been since my vaginal birth prior. It's position and consistency was not always the same, but it stayed closed tight until several weeks later when I miscarried. I have always wondered if anyone else experienced that or if was just me, but hopefully, I'll be able to compare the experience again soon!

Mine was mushy and flowery through pregnancy but I can't remember if it turned that way early on - I know it felt like that by 6 weeks pregnant though. Usually early on, it was closed TIGHT - and I can generally tell if AF is coming because it starts opening up, so that was a clue for me.

I will say, I never get bleeding gums, and one of the times I was pregnant, I had them at 7dpo - made me wonder, I did get a positive at 10dpo. Haven't had them since though - even in my other 2 pregnancies! I would think you *may* be able to get a bfp at 9dpo with an FRER or sensitive test.
