Floradix: What kind do I want?

OK, I'm finally admitting that I am tired enough to justify the expense. There seems to be lots of different types though-- pills, liquid, with herbs. What kind do I want?

I don't really know anything for sure but I take the Floravit liquid (haven't seen the pill form)

because it just seems a bit disturbing to take in any more yeast than I have to!

The basic stuff is the Floridix Iron with Herbs. That is also the one that tastes the best imo.

The Whole Foods around here have it on sale right now if you have one nearby.

Subbing 'cause my MW said I should try it but I hear horror stories on the taste.

I don't think the taste is bad at all. Drop the dose in a small glass of orange juice, drink it fast, you'll barely taste it!

I can't seem to remember to take it before a meal. Maybe I remember once a day, rarely 2x a day (like I should take it). Do you ladies take it whenever?

Pill form?! Where?!?!? Gimme! I couldn't stand the taste with my last pregnancy at all, even having oj as a chaser. Ugh.

Get this one and mix it with blueberry pomegranate juice. You can barely taste it in a 4 oz glass. Just don't smell the Floradix before mixing it in. If you do you'll think the juice tastes like raw meat. Ew.

I went to WF today and inquired about the efficacy of the liquid vs the tablets (they had both). I mentioned the reputed bad taste of the Floradix, and the lady there said it's NOT bad - that it tastes like fruit juice. I thought she was nuts, but tried the sample bottle she offered. It is NOT bad! Quite shocked, but pleasantly so. I'm hoping my big ol' bottle tastes the same way.

I have it, but am afraid to try it.

I get the one without yeast too-I think it's called floravit! I put it in orange juice and it's totally fine! In fact, my 2 1/2 year old son loves it-calls it his juice

It's really ok!

I take the floradix in the orange and white box- the liquid. I think it tastes great! But if I didn't like it, I'm sure a juice blend would drown the taste (just make sure it's not calcium fortified juice). I actually take mine in the middle of the night when I'm up to pee, and taking one dose of it then was enough to raise my very anemic numbers and keep them in the normal range throughout this whole pregnancy! I tried SO many things last pregnancy (black strap molasses, yellow dock, pills and more) and none of them helped like the floradix.

I get the yeast free, gluten free one because gluten has the potential to prevent iron from being absorbed well. I don't think it tastes bad. A million times better than liquid yellow dock.

I took the pills when pregnant. Not as effective but I could handle them better than the liquids. Later in PG, I took the liquid. I ordered mine from vitaminshoppe.com
